Okay, props for your coffee knowledge.
I'm still considering getting a home-roasting kit. Not only could I then do my own blends and different types of roasts, but uh, with the volume I go through, I would probably save money in the long run too since I could buy in bulk. On average green beans keep for up to a year stored properly.
Heh... and speaking of, I saw this in New Orleans and meant to snag some....

I brought back 6 bottles of expresso when I came back. We get it from our favorite coffee bar and quick freeze it. It stays frozen on the trip back and goes in the freezer at home. So, whenever I want a good expresso, I thaw a bottle out and enjoy..... Surprisingly, it doesn't lose anything in the process......

Ummm... you mean to tell me that non-negotiable layer of crema on the top survives that hop across the pond

Okay, it does lose that.....but none of the flavor..... I suppose I could shake the bottle real hard and even get that layer back......

| Quote: | | Heh, heh... I was fortunate to have the sense to buy a Pavoni Professionale model with a half gallon tank back in the early 80's for $200. And even with a supply of Kimbo Macinato Fresco, it just ain't the same. |
Okay, color me envious... I'd love to give that bad boy a spin.

Excuse me..... Nobody but me touches my Pavoni..... Unless you have spent several years learning to make expresso the right way..... Then maybe, I'll let you pack the coffee to see whether you do know what your doing.....

I'm a fully and thoroughly and happily trained barista. |
A, yeah, right.... You have no idea how many times I've heard that line..... only to be disappointed with the final product..... Ever heard of Starbucks.......
