Please check to see if there's any pie down there while you're at, Brownlee. Thanks!

It seemed fitting to share this here. I took my stepson to Hayneville yesterday to take his driver's test. He passed. However, last night he wrecked my hubby's car. Sad

I'm very sorry to hear about this. Your insurance rates will be sky-high after this.

Many don't realize that passing the driver's test doesn't mean you are expert. It simply means that you have the bare minimum skills to operate a car.

Everyone is okay. He hit a parked car (he was not supposed to be out, he was supposed to go straight home). He doesn't live with us, so I had just switched to a different insurance company that would allow him to drive our cars since he doesn't live in our home. He was supposed to get his car this weekend. We were paying for the first month's insurance and our agent was just waiting on us to give him his license number and cut the check. Now I told him he has to come up with 3 months of insurance in advance to get his car. He's grounded. He's lucky his dad didn't beat him b/c it was my husband's car that belonged to his late mother. He loves that car. Thankfully the car is still drivable and no one was hurt. I think we're going to make him move up here and work in Prattville to pay us back for the repairs. We told him it's not that he wrecked the car but that he was somewhere he should not have been and out past his curfew (six o'clock since he is a new driver).

Ooooh . . . three months' insurance is going to be a couple of thousand dollars, maybe.

Glad you're being tough on him.
