Tutorial: Embed Video into your Posts! (Youtube)

HOW TO INSERT YOUTUBE VIDEOS INTO YOUR POSTS:

First, just for the fun of it...go to http://www.youtube.com and explore the endless possibilities of video on Youtube. You can search for something you are familar with OR try a search and get lucky string! For the sake of example, type "Prank Telemarketer" in the youtube search box. Click on Greatest Prank Call Ever. Watch the video....laugh....and now please copy the URL. (The address of the video)

I use Explorer and use several tabs when I'm working. I have the forum open in one tab, youtube in another and several others open as well.

Open the thread you want to open and click "Post New Topic"

NOW....You'll notice next to "Message Body" on the Left (above the smilies) that parallel lies your control buttons. One is B, another I, then U then Quote....and the last is YOUTUBE.

Place your cursor in the box where you want to the video and press the YOUTUBE button. What happens looks like this: [youtube]

HOLD IT! Now you're going to learn to copy and paste the URL into your post!

Go back to your youtube tab and copy the URL in one of two ways:
1) highlight the url...right click and scroll to COPY
2) Highlight the url...press CTRL + C

NOW....Go back to the tab with the post new topic box open and PASTE the URL next to the [youtube] code you created.

TO PASTE:
1.) Place cursor next to [youtube], right click...scroll to paste
2.) Place cursor next to [youtube] press CTRL + V

It'll look like this:

OR you can just manually type the html code before and after the URL. Notice how it's done.
