I guess Boyd is still sore because we smacked him around with a few editorials back during the mayoral race... and it goes without saying that we didn't endorse him.

Yeah, JayHey, he was the goofball going around wearing boxing gloves and making *every* issue about race. He was also one of the plaintiffs in the absurd lawsuit arguing that the city's municipal election date was somehow "discrinatory" against black folks because students at ASU moving to campus would have been cut out of the voting process due to the 30-day residency requirment... the only problem was that a simple look at the schools' calendars would have shown these individuals that EVERY college and university's student residents would be cut out because none of them started the semester 30 days prior to the election. In other words, Joe Reed, William Boyd and the rest of the plaintiffs were making it a race issue when in fact it affected EVERY student and didn't have a damn thing to do with race. Boyd also tried to smear Lynn Bright, which was WAY out of line and his claim was completely off the wall... and we spanked him in an editorial for that too.

He also announced he was running for the Congressional seat but withdrew a couple of days later.....
